Welcome to the conversation!

Hi everyone, or I hope everyone. But welcome if it's only one woman and her cat. :-)

I hope this will be a productive and encouraging space where the rapidly increasing companion animal rescue effort can come together to discuss issues, share ideas, offer and receive support and collaborate with each other to enrich rescue overall.

There are some forum rules which I encourage you to read. This forum will be moderated but the assumption is that everyone is a responsible adult and able to conduct themselves accordingly.

Robust debate is encouraged but bullying and harassment are not. While I have strong opinions about many rescue issues, this forum is about a diversity of ideas and approaches. I hope we will be able to share that diversity in the interests of everyone learning rather than seeking an impossible (I think!) single approach.

Feel free to start topics about issues which interest you, or join in existing conversations.

There is only one forum as yet, but if we develop a head of steam and need to split into different themes we can do so.

Please note, this is NOT an anti-DOL forum, it is simply a dedicated space for rescue.

Please join in, talk your head off, share your successes and ask for help with your problems.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "if we're going to live together, we're going to have to work together, if we're going to work together, we might as well talk!"

So let's talk. :-)
